Spotlight on…. Evelyne Güsken
We are continuing to spotlight members of the AlphaBio Team, each time exploring their position in the company, their motivation and a quick peep into their lives outside working hours. All in four questions!
This month we caught up with Evelyne Güsken:
Q1 How would you introduce yourself?
Hello, my name is Evelyne Güsken; I am originally from the German-speaking part of Belgium but I have just moved to the south of France. I have been a Regulatory Affairs Consultant at AlphaBio Control since November 2020.
Q2 What does your role in AlphaBio entail?
For the company to be able market its products, it has to demonstrate that they are safe both to human health and in the environment. Alongside with our national consultants and AlphaBio colleagues such as Anna Slater and Guido Maffioli, my role is to write or adapt dossiers of all the information that the company has generated, submit them to the regulatory authorities in countries in North and Central Europe, and then make our case with those authorities if and when there are any questions or concerns.
Q3 What do you like about working for AlphaBio?
For me it all about feeling part of a team, and I love the AlphaBio team; it is full of lovely, talented people and I feel privileged to be part of it. My role is in the company is very satisfying; I love reading and writing, finding the right word, identifying solutions to problems in different and difficult situations; in fact, the more difficult the problem, the more satisfying it is when you find the solution!
Q4 Finally, what do you like to do outside of work?
Well I have two children and I love spending time being outside; this is incredibly important to me. I take sheep’s fleece and spin the wool myself before using it to knit clothes. I have published a book about walking 200km along the Camino de Santiago of northern Spain with two children and three dogs! However, my passion is CaniCross; running through forest paths attached to my dogs takes teamwork to another level. My next ambition is to buy a sleigh and take the dogs into the mountains!
