New milestone for AlphaBio Biofungicide
15 May 2023: AlphaBio Control, the agricultural technology company committed to finding exceptional plant protection products from natural sources, is delighted to announce that its new biofungicide, codenamed ABP590, has formally entered the regulatory approval process in the European Union.
Iain Fleming, Cofounder and Chief Executive of AlphaBio said: “This milestone in the development of our new biofungicide is testament to the dedication and sheer hard work of our team members; in the Technical and Market Development Team in generating the trials and efficacy data, and our Regulatory Team for the preparation of the dossier for submission.
“When we started out, we wanted to help make productive agriculture more sustainable and with the eventual addition of a biofungicide to our award-winning bioinsecticide, FLiPPER®, and our bioherbicide, MiSSiTO®, we are building a portfolio to do just that, one spray at a time!”
ABP590 has been submitted to the Greece regulatory authorities as the zonal rapporteur (zRMS) for EU Southern zone registration for the control of downy mildew in vines as its first indication, with potential first sales as early as 2026.
