AlphaBio Control sells Pelargonic Acid assets

14th April 2025: AlphaBio Control, the agricultural technology company committed to finding plant protection products from natural sources, has signed an agreement to sell all the assets pertaining to its pelargonic acid business.
Pelargonic acid is a non-selective herbicide which is derived from a number of sources. AlphaBio´s formulation code ABP811, MiSSiTO® trademark, is a different and innovative, high quality and high-performance formulation of pelargonic acid derived from sunflower oil. This makes it a much more effective and environmentally sensitive and low carbon alternative to many others.
General Manager for AlphaBio Control, Marta Ruiz, said “This sale allows AlphaBio to refocus on our core objectives in fatty acid bio-insecticides, bio-miticides and bio-nematicides. Today, farmers across Europe and increasingly, across the World, are benefiting from the use of our award-winning bioinsecticide-acaricide, FLiPPER®, FiTTER®, FLiPPER Plus® and we continue to pursue our belief that we can improve agriculture, one spray at a time”.
